programs: virtualdub and photoshop

  1. open virtualdub and choose your video. ( file/open video file…)
  2. go to part that you want gif
  3. and this

(the buttons are for mark the start and the end of gif)

for save, go to (file/export/image sequence…) choose a location to save

4. open photoshop, i use cs5 but any version will work!

5. go to (file/scripts/loads files into stack…) and select all caps

6. crop your image however you want, and make the image size 500 pixels. (image/crop/image size)

7. go to (window/animation) later, go to animation and (make frame from layers/reverse frames)

8. then select all the frames, click where it says the time and change that the speed you want. i usually do somewhere between .08 and .1 seconds

9. (now edit your gif) in my gif i used this psd… a simple psd, but it’s your choose. (also put text, coloring, black and white….) 

10. when you’re done with your gif, go to (file/save for web and devices) your choose how save, my for example:

tumblr just accepting gifs with 500 kb, so… if your gif is higher of 500 kb, you will make this:

go to save. and mmh, finished! 

ps: my gif had just 11 frames, and the coloring was simple.. so was less of 500kb, but always my gifs is more big… so i optimize.

tips: delete some frames, reducing the color and the time of the gif, freeze the background. all help to lower your gif :] oh and of course, videos avi, hdtv or 720p.
